Day Three in Boise Idaho

Today I went and visited three schools.  The first one was in Homedale.  It was a small town with a single street main road, a bit like Heathcote.  The school was very interesting.  Sport and Gridion are a major part of the culture and that is evident in the schools.  Homedale had the Trojans as their football team. The schools seem a lot poorer than ours.  There were not many computers and those that were there were much older than anything we would have in Australian schools.  The students were very nice.

Homedale

The next stop was Cossa school in Wilder.  It was a brand new school and very nice.  It was a technical school and was only built 2 months ago.  The students do things such as building trades and nursing.  The students build a house everyy year which they sell.  A house sells for $40-50,000 dollars and blocks of land for @$5000!  The beginning teachers wage is $30,000 and tops out at $50,000!  We went for lunch at a place aclled Parma which was very empoverished and looked rundown.
Cossa School

Fancy Number plates!

The next school was Nosta school which was also very interesting.  the whole school has a pirate theme to fit in with their football team!

Typical School Bus

A Pirate seat!

I went to Wal-Mart which is like Big W and Safeway combined.  Prices were not that cheap though.  The sporting goods had an amazing array of things in it.

I went for a walk when I got back and took some more photos of the Capital Building.
